BUDVABudva has been famous around the world for a long time, as the place for party in Montenegro, following many worldwide and local stars’ concerts that took place there but also for the amount of modern and active clubs it has. Furthermore, the accent on modern and luxurious is important part of Montenegro’s lifestyle, whilst still keeping some of its traditional characteristics thus giving it the authenticity which many touristic spotlights now lack. One of Budva’s highlights are Dukley Gardens, inspired by our rich history that goes down to BC era. It is a unique place, where comfort combines with beauty of unspoiled nature.

TIVATTivat on the other hand has gained its spotlight in the world of eminent and luxurious towns just recently, with the opening of Porto Montenegro, a luxury yacht marina and adjacent waterfront development under construction. Following this project, many others gained momentum, such as Lustica Bay which offers world-class properties that enjoy the luxury of untouched natural beautify and unobstructed sea views.

KOTOR
On the final note, there is Kotor, the Lonely Planet’s Best in Travel 2016 number 1. Wedged between brooding mountains and a moody corner of the bay, this dramatically beautiful town is perfectly at one with its setting. Its sturdy walls – started in the 9th century and tweaked until the 18th – arch steeply up the slopes behind it. This town radiates with certain energy, out of this time and place, with its magnificent walls which seem so old but yet so timeless and its people who in their heart have never lost traditional spirit deeply affected by the culture of the old Italians and Montenegrins. Its traditional festivals take place throughout the whole year from early February until the New Year’s Eve itself. Its best moments are however in summer, during the Festival of Theatre for Children and maybe a bit more serious KotorArt which both introduce talents from around the globe, in latter one including music, literature, drama and much more. One will always feel like at home when visiting it, not only for the culture, but for the food, amazing wine and beer too!
BEST BEACHES
The beauty of our coast is that it has always been the crucial area for our people, therefore everything has always adjusted to it, we could say we integrated with our beloved Adriatic sea, giving it extended reach into the wilderness of our beautiful country.
Our touristic agencies mention these as some of the must – visit beaches in Montenegro: The Big Beach (Velika Plaza, Ulcinj), The Red beach (Crvena Plaza, Bar), Queen’s beach (Kraljicina Plaza, Milocer, Budva), Becici Beach (Budva), Drobni pijesak (Budva), Jaz (Budva), Petrovac Beach (Petrovac, near Budva), Saint Stephan’s Beach (Sveti Stefan, a peninsula near Budva) and Milocer Beach (Milocer, near Budva). All of these have an open access to the sea, with many exciting activities including jet skiing. bungee jumping, fly boarding, kayaking or just using banana boats!
However our beaches are not only reserved for the party-maniacs and adrenaline-rush addicts. There are also places reserved for quiet thoughts and peaceful holiday moments, for example the already mentioned St Stephan’s Beach or Milocer Beach.

WORLD EVENTS
Although a rather small country, Montenegro has hosted many important and astonishing events. In 2007 it was the concert of the biggest world rock ‘n’ roll band of all times, the Rolling Stones and in 2008 of the Queen herself – Madonna. Both of these concerts were a huge success and these guests enjoyed the best treatment before and after their performances at Jaz Beach, in Budva. The most recent and current world event is SeaDanceFestival, again at Jaz.
Sea Dance Festival is an award winning music festival which is held at Jaz beach in Budva, Montenegro since July 2014. The festival has been part of the EXIT Adventure, representing an additional 3 days of EXIT Festival. Following editions lasted a day longer. Just after its first edition, Sea Dance festival was officially proclaimed as the 'Best Medium Sized European festival' at the European Festivals Awards, held in Groningen in January 2015. It gained similar recognitions this year too. In short time, Sea Dance gained international media attention, featuring an article in Forbes magazine that listed Sea Dance festival, together with EXIT festival in Top 10 Europe’s Summer Festivals.
Finally, although today’s culture of living causes us to bustle, art is always there to sober us and warn us to slow down and reflect. Through the theatre performances, concerts, art workshops, philosophical forums under the open sky and many other programs that the KotorArt Festival offers, we wish for everyone to create their own image of the festival and that, as in a kaleidoscope, each day spent in Kotor displays at the same time its universality, integrity and beauty. This year’s KotorArt, from June 24 to August 15, will gather around a thousand artists from all over the world, and across twenty-some locations in Kotor over a hundred programs will be held.
